Ian Craig

I moved to Poole in 2020, attracted by the beautiful setting and ready access to the sea. I joined the Dolphin team in 2022 and became skipper in 2023.

My love of the sea began with diving both for sport and in the supervision of marine construction in the UK and overseas. I have sailed for decades, progressing from dinghies to cruising monohulls and catamarans, gaining the RYA Coastal Skipper qualification.

Much of my early sailing was around Scotland but I have also sailed in Norway, various Mediterranean countries, South Africa, the Caribbean, and the Seychelles.

Poole has a great natural harbour with a rich and varied history which I enjoy sharing with our passengers, who often have interesting harbour stories of their own!
